Design next steps for catalytic membrane reactors

The EU CARENA project has led to successful results on many aspects of the membrane reactor technology. Next step is to put these results into a broader perspective. How does the progress of CARENA bring us towards implementation of membrane reactors in industries? More about this project.

ISPT and CARENA jointly organize a two-day workshop to design next steps.

29 April: Overview of results and networking
The first day of this two-day event provides an overview of the results of the CARENA project. Progress in many areas, including membranes, catalyst, reactor design, modelling, will be presented and there will be ample opportunities to exchange views on the results and their relevance with the CARENA participants. The programme will include poster sessions, networking drinks and dinner in Alkmaar.

30 April: Workshop at STRUIN – located at Schoorl beach
During the second day of the workshop we will jointly generate ideas and design next steps. We will discuss known and novel applications of catalytic membranes. What are the propositions that solve problems in current or future processes and products and enable innovation for technology suppliers?

We will generate new approaches and project ideas using the guidelines of Value Proposition Design. This method, as developed by Alex Osterwalder, is rapidly gaining a large following by focussing at either delivering gains for users or solving their problems. Together we will formulate most promising next steps and look at matching European and national Programmes that can accommodate our propositions.
