The European dimension: Innovating process industries in European Context

ISPT believes that the scope of our work transcends the Dutch borders. Therefore we currently work with partners throughout Europe in several European projects, which fall into several different European programs and/or consortia such as Horizon2020, Bio Based Industries Consortium and INTERREG.

ECWRTI

Visit the ECWRTI-website for more information on this European project that aims to set a leading industrial example by demonstrating the scale-up of the EColoRO concept. The core of the concept is formed by Electro Coagulation followed by several membrane treatment steps.

Watch the EuroNews footage about ECWRTI.

PROVIDES

Visit the PROVIDES-website for more information on this European project that aims to develop Deep Eutectic Solvents (DESs) to be used in a radically new, sustainable and techno-economically feasible pulping technology for wood and agro-based lignocellulose raw materials. For a further introduction to the PROVIDES-project and potential of DESs, take a look at the video below:

CARBON2VALUE

Carbon2Value: Innovative CO2 separation technology aims to reduce emissions in steel industry

The Carbon2Value project has officially started and revolves around an innovative technology with the potential to  reduce CO2 emissions across the major energy intensive steel sector by 30-45%. The Carbon2Value consortium consists of DoW Benelux (NL), Lanza Tech (UK), POMOV (BE), the University of Lille, ISPT (NL) and ArcelorMittal as project leader. The consortium aims to use the technology to separate CO2 streams and valorize CO and potentially CO2 in the future. Two valorization routes will be studied during the project, i.e. ethanol as a drop-in transportation fuel and synthetic naphtha as a drop-in chemical building block.

The project has officially started in January 2017 and is currently in the startup fase and hopes to air her website shortly.

Carbon2Value has received funding from the Interreg 2 Seas programme 2014-2020 co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund under subsidy contract Carbon2Value 2S01-094. For more information contact: agata.vanoosten@ispt.eu
